We have a few lodging options during your stay at Lavapalooza. There are other hotels and B&Bs available in the area for you to explore. Please contact us if you have questions as we have some additional houses to rent that might be great for a family or larger group.

HOTELS in ARENAL:
Hotel Lago Arenal is located 1.5 km (5-10 minutes) from Nuevo Arenal on the way to Casa Mariposa. It is a nice, simple, clean hotel with 30 rooms. It has a pool, bar, restaurant and incredible views of the lake and sunset. Our friends Alfredo and Angie are the owners and speak fluent English.

CAMPING AT CASA MARIPOSA:
For those who prefer to mingle with Mother Nature, we have the ideal camping location for you at Casa Mariposa. When the sun sets, the Howler Monkeys come out to play and can be heard for miles. The bats and swallows emerge and the coyotes howl into the night. At sunrise, the hummingbirds and butterflies will greet you. Strong coffee will be brewing in the rancho to help burn off the morning fog. Bring your 3- or 4-season tents and gear as weather can be unpredictable and wet. We also have composting toilets, outdoor shower and sink and kitchen.
*There is a playground for the kids and there will be plenty of activities as well.
