FLORA & FAUNA

It is said that Costa Rica is home to 5% of the world’s species in an area encompassing only .1% of it’s surface area. To put it simply, LIFE in all forms is abundant here. To their credit, Tico people try to live in harmony with nature, not opposed to it.

That said, you may wonder about what kind of wildlife you may encounter. If you need visual association, you can check out these photos of creatures we have had the pleasure to meet in the last year. Now don’t be afraid...they were here on the planet first :-) But seriously, with minor additional precautions you have nothing to worry about. Well, almost nothing!
