Arenal_Volcano

Arenal Volcano is awesome! It is one of the most active volcanos on Earth and has been erupting daily since the last major eruption in 1968. During the day, plumes of smoke and ash can be seen and at night the lava flows and explodes in molten orange rivers down the sides. Click on the photo below for more info.

From Casa Mariposa we see the top of the volcano and love to watch the fireworks in the distance on a clear night. The photo below is taken from our front balcony.
